Want to give it a try?

OC Youth Tri welcomes athletes approximately ages 8–18. You don’t need triathlon experience to get started.

Club membership

Membership is $40 per month per athlete.

Interested in joining OC Youth Tri?

Whether you’re an athlete interested in trying triathlon or a parent looking for a program for your child, we’d love to hear from you. No experience or equipment is required.

This is an inquiry, not a commitment to join. Participation consent is handled separately during onboarding.

Who’s reaching out?

Parents and guardians: enter the athlete’s name. Athletes: leave this blank; we’ll use your name above.

Any sports experience is welcome — swimming, cycling, running, soccer, water polo, cross-country, or other sports. You can also share questions here.

No bike? No problem. We have bikes available for athletes who need them.

Mondays, 5:30–7:00 PM at the Garden Grove High School pool. If Mondays don’t work, we can discuss other club workouts.

A few things to know

No triathlon experience needed

Beginners and experienced athletes are welcome. Tell us about the athlete’s sports experience or interests so the coach can help them get started.

No bike or triathlon gear? No problem!

If your athlete needs or wants a bike, Coach Eric matches them with an appropriate bike already available through the club, subject to fit and current inventory. That becomes their regular training bike, and many athletes take it home as well as using it at practice and races.

The program has grown through purchases and generous donations. We can’t guarantee every item in every size, but not having equipment should never stop an interested athlete or family from giving the club a try.

You don’t need a race record

We train and race, but the club is also for kids who want to learn and improve. Competitive success is something to celebrate, not a requirement for joining.
